It's official.....

Well we have some exciting news........... Jeremy has accepted a job with Lutron Electronics!!! He will be working as a marketing associate for one of their product lines. We feel so blessed to have gotten such a great job in this tough economy. The only down side is that the job is so far away! But we are only a plane flight away. With the new job, we will be moving to Pennsylvania! It is in the heart of the Lehigh Valley, about 50 minutes outside of Philadelphia in Allentown/Bethlehem area. Besides being so far away from family and friends we are really excited about the move and this next step in our lives. To live in a new climate, a beautiful area, and to experience life on the east coast will be a whole new exciting adventure for our growing fam! He won't be starting until the first of April so we have some time and will hopefully miss the most/hopefully all of the cold winter.

Here are some important things in PA:

BELOW: Here is a map just in case you didn't know how far PA actually is from CA......yeah its far! We will live in far east PA, 1.5 hrs to NYC, 30 mins to NJ, and important to Jeremy only 50 mins to Phillie and 76er games!

Prego update...

Things are going great with my pregnancy. I had another ultrasound done with the Dr to make sure everything was ok and that she was growing on track. The Dr says that everything looks great and that we have nothing to worry about. Her thigh and arm bone are measuring about a week ahead of what they should be. The Dr says we might be having a long baby!! haha.. I told the Dr that my husband is 6'3"and I am 5'10", go figure. Here are some ultrasound pics.

What we have been up to...

I had a week off of work so Jeremy and I decided to take advantage and visit some places before we move for his new job (TBD). We drove down to San Diego and visited the temple that we were cealed in. It was beautiful and brought back so many great memories of our wedding day.

We also ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. It was pretty good.

This is a picture from the top of Bastanchury hill. This is one of our favorite parks to run to and enjoy the view.

Look at that view and all that snow! I wish I could snowboard this season. Oh well, there is always next year...

I was able to go to Riverside and spend some time with some old friends.

Our Christmas

This year on Christmas Eve we had dinner at my Aunt Lisa's house. It was nice for us because we are only 5 minutes away! Lisa prepared an amazing roast beef and green beans. My mom brought her famous twice baked potatoes and rasberry pretzel jello salad. Dinner was delicious! I couldn't eat as much as I normally would because when I do I get really bad stomach aches. I guess being pregnant this Christmas season actually helped me from pigging out to much.

Below is Lisa's mom Pat (visiting from WI), Aunt Lisa and my mom

My dad decided to take a nap before all the fun started

Cousins on the couch watching some exciting show on the Discovery chanel

(Shane, Parker, Christie, Reed and me)

After dinner we headed out to Riverside to spend Christmas with my family. It took us 1 1/2 hrs to go 30 miles on Christmas Eve. Jeremy and I "enjoyed" the ride and listened to Christmas music the whole way. When we got to the parents house we played games and watched A Christmas story. It was classic.

We actually slept in until about 10am! What a record! My brother's demanded that my mom put on the Celine Dion Christmas CD before they would open any gifts. How funny! I guess we grew up listening to her Christmas CD and it wouldn't be the same without hearing her. They are pathetic.

This is my mom and brother Reed.

Gramps enjoying his new gift, a cell phone! How much do you want to bet he takes it back. We love you gramps but know you like your things the way they are.

My brother Shane and I enjoying some quality time together.

We also spend some time with the Murdock's before Christmas. Here is the whole gang.

It was so much fun to watch Travis open his gifts this year. He actually got into ripping all the paper.

This was one of Travis' favorite gifts! His aunt Lacey made him a ball blanket. Travis loves everything that has to do with basketballs. He can say it so good now.

This was by far Jeremy's favorite gift of the year. Sheri got our baby girl a USC warm up outfit! It is so cute!

Butterflies

Today I am 17 weeks and 2 days! I guess that is about 4 months. I can't believe how fast time is flying. I know it may be a little early but I think I have felt the baby move inside me. It is a feeling that is hard to explain but it sort of feels like butterflies. I have only felt her move a couple of times and it is the coolest thing in the world. I can't wait until I can feel her kick and have Jeremy feel it as well.
Jeremy has finals this week and I will be so happy when school is over!!!! I can't believe he will be graduating! The day has finally come. He has been so busy with group projects, presentations and job interviews that I hardly ever see him. I am so proud of how hard he is working and look forward to Dec. 18th when we can celebrate together!!!!
Here is an updated belly pic. I feel like I am finally starting to show a little bit.

Leavin’ on a jet plane….

Jeremy flew out this morning to interview for a job in PA! I miss him already. I don’t know how I will do if he ends up having to travel a lot for business. Thinking of moving all the way to PA is kind of scary, but exciting at the same time! I have lived in the same two towns my entire life and a change would be nice. Don’t worry; it would take a pretty amazing offer for us to move across the country. Today the weather in PA is cloudy and 40 degrees!! Yikes! I wish him luck and can’t wait to hear about his trip!

Heartbeat

Today I was able to hear our sweet little baby’s heartbeat! It was so exciting! I have seen the heartbeat in many ultrasounds but this was the first time I was able to hear it. The Dr was able to find it right away. It sounded like it was beating really fast and strong. Is it bad that I already forgot how many beats per minute she said it was beating? Next time I will write it down. Other than that this appt. was pretty boring. I had to wait 40 min just to spend 5 min with the Dr. But it was worth it. She said I should be popping out in about 10 more weeks! Other people can’t tell that I’m showing but I feel a little something sticking out. I will continue to post my progression shots and you can decide for yourself.

Oh ya, and did I mention that we are having a GIRL!!!!? Yep, that’s right. We were able to find out at 14 ½ weeks! Jeremy got what he wanted. At least that is what they think it is. I went to this Ultrasound Medical Center in Costa Mesa that some friends recommended to me. The lady who does the ultrasound has a 99% accuracy rate. She has predicted the sex of 3 of my friend’s babies and she was right on. So I guess we will have to wait a little longer to be 100% sure. But this is the exciting news for now. Now we can start to seriously talk baby names and pick out bedding! That is unless I decide to try and make it myself. We’ll see.
