something sweet...

I had a great birthday this year!!! It was very different from my birthday's in the past. Jeremy made me my favorite french toast for breakfast and had a huge bowl of fresh strawberries. Then it was off to work for him. Kylee and I had to make a quick stop at the Dr.s office to get her weighed. She hadn't been eating well and we wanted to make sure she was gaining weight. Needless to say she weighs 14 lbs and is gaining weight fine. So we headed off to get some lunch at Pita Pit. It was fresh and yummy and just what I needed. Later that night Jeremy brought home a delicious meal from White Orchids (Thai Cuisine). It was so nice not to have to cook and also to eat some really good food. Kylee slept though our enite meal so we could enjoy a little alone time. It was nice. Later that night our friends surprised me and brought me over an ice-cream cake!!!

These are our new friends Maylee (baby) and Nikki (mom) who just moved in across the street.
It will be nice to have the girls play with each other when they get older.
This is the ice-cream cake Jeremy ordered for me. It had chocolate cake with mint oreo ice-cream. It was soooooo good! Thanks honey!
Here is our cute little three month old. She has just discovered her ears and loves sucking on her hands. She also loves grabbing her feet and holding her hands together. It's so cute!

Fun on I-95!

This last weekend the Murdock's found themselves on a weekend trip to Connecticuit and Rhode Island! Jeremy had a tradeshow and meeting in Providence, Rhode Island so we decided to make the trip over the weekend to see some sights along the drive up Interstate 95! Kylee was such a trooper, we were so happy that she did so good the whole weekend! We left early Saturday morning and drove over the Tappan Zee bridge, through White Plains NY and into New Haven Conn! We wanted to check out the Yale campus, and Jeremy ofcourse had learned on the travel channel that the American hamburger was invented at a small place next to Yale called Louis' Lunch and so we had to stop in.......so we did....and it was CLOSED! A cop told us that every August the owner shuts down to take a vacation and to clean out the grease from his grills! So we were pretty dissapointed..but we took a stroll through Yale University and saw some beautiful architecture, lots of historic buildings, and some scary people! We found that the campus is soooo pretty and serene, its own little town, but New Haven outside of the campus area is pretty ghetto!
So we took off for New London CT where we stayed Saturday night. We saw Mystic CT, or Mystic Seaport which is a cute little seaside community with lots of old ships on display. Dinner was a dream for Jeremy....fresh lobster....we went to Captain Scott's Lobster Dock in New London right on the harbor, and it was packed! 30 minutes just to order the food! Jeremy was in heaven eating lobster rolls, and I enjoyed some chicken tenders........

Sunday we made it into Providence Rhode Island....the drive is very pretty, and Providence is a very cute "big city" as the capital of RI....its a very walkable downtown because it isnt very big. Jeremy liked the downtown area but due to weather reasons we could never live there! We checked out Providence and then drove out to Newport RI. How come every city with the word Newport in it is so dang cool?! Newport RI is a really neat place! We would def go back there, it had so many cute little shops along the boardwalk, lots of little seafood restaurants, plenty of really old and historic buildings, lots of pretty ocean views and then there are The Mansion Houses. We got tickets to see The Marble House-it was owned by the Vanderbilt family and was amazing! We took a tour of it, Kylee fell right to sleep and we loved checking out the place....overall Newport was a real nice place to visit again.....with maybe just adults next time! Monday Jeremy got to his meetings and was in heaven again eating dinner with coworkers and clients at a pricey seafood restaurant in downtown Providence. He got his seafood cravings out for a little while on this trip! Kylee and I got to lounge around the executive suite at our hotel. Tuesday morning we drove back home and its been back to normal since then.......next trip is in a few weeks to Palmyra and Niagara falls!

Weekend with 5 Guys

This past weekend was a lot of fun and very tiring at the same time! Saturday morning we were cleaning and reorganizing furniture in our house...which was nice to finally get done! The weather was pretty good last week and Saturday was beautiful, so we got out and went out to lunch at our local Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It was quite a place to eat....bags of fresh Idaho potatoes stacked in certain spots in the dining room, the board tells you from what city in Idaho those days' potatoes are from. The restaurant is big on the east coast apparently, and it lived up to the hype (the young men in our ward think its the best ever)! Its got a very In N Outish feel to it inside, the workers are overly friendly, the place is clean and its all white and red inside. So we got the little cheeseburger and fries.....the little cheeseburger is huge..plenty to eat, and it was delish! The fries were dissapointing....neither of us liked the fries really at all...but the burgers taste like the best homemade type burgers you can have....but we admit In N Out is still the king of fast food burgers.

After eating at 5 Guys, we went shopping at Target for some random stuff and then made our way to the mall to look at some work clothes for Jeremy. Kylee did so good the whole trip! Except for throwing a fit inside Target which she always does inside that store!

This past week was lots of fun, we had a BBQ with some friends in our ward at the park, had a picnic at Jeremys work for lunch and met his boss and coworkers, and ALMOST hit our first deer! Jeremy is the 1st counselor in the YM and is the teachers quorum advisor, they had a stake youth hoe-down where they taught all the youth line dances and other stuff so I came along-driving home it was ofcourse dark, and we live in an area that has lots of deer around....so going down a hill I noticed a deer in our lane of the road, I yelled at Jeremy to stop so he slammed on the brakes....and swerved into the other lane (luckily theres little to no traffic on our streets at night out here) and we missed that deer by about 2 feet! The deer didnt move one muscle the whole time! Anyways, we see deer a lot around here, lets just hope we don't see another one on the road anytime soon!
We are looking forward to another busy and fun week, we hope to visit Princeton NJ this weekend and we will be checking out Musikfest in Bethlehem sometime this week and Jeremy is golfing with a friend in the ward. Watch out if you're golfing nearby!
