On Saturday Jeremy, Erin and Sean ran in the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department 10K/5K mud run. I had been training to run it with them but got sick the day before! I was debating whether I should try to run the race sick, but when I saw them cross the finish line I was glad I didn't try. This wasn't an easy run! Luckily these guys had been training because it was a very challenging course. They all ran the 5K. The race was full of army obstacles like jumping over walls, crawling through mud, pipes, and more mud pits to get through. There were tons of hills with mud pits in between. Jeremy and I went back to my parents house and Jeremy hit the jacuzzi so he could as he said "feel my legs again!" It was also about 101 degrees while they ran. Needless to say I am very proud of all of them. Great job guys!!!
The after picture
He's just happy the run's over!
The "showers" with no water pressure!
Jeremy said his last 3/4 mile were "miserable" because he was so worn out already from the hills and all the mud to get through but he already is thinking about when he needs to sign up for the Camp Pendleton Mud Run (that is twice the distance of this one he ran!) for next year......and ofcourse he wants me to join him this time!.....We shall see about that!
