Family comes to town!!!

Last week Jeremy's parents and sister came to visit! We were so happy to have them come and we had so much fun! Kylee was so shy the night they came in she glued herself to Jeremy...but she warmed up to them pretty quick and loved having her Grandma, Grandpa and aunt Lacey all to herself. We started the weekend off by having a family birthday party for Kylee. Grandma and Grandpa Murdock and Aunt Lacey spoiled Kylee to death and she loved every minute of it! Here is Kylee and Grandma with her new doll that laughs. Kylee cracks up whenever she hears her laugh.

Kylee with all of her presents! She loved opening them and laughed and smiled the whole time.

Kylee blowing kisses to Grandpa

We were able to visit the Gettysburg National Military Park. The museum was awesome and you could have spent all day in there reading about everything. Luckly Kylee slept in her stroller most of the time so mommy and daddy could enjoy it too.

Kylee liked the Abraham Lincoln statue. The battlefield
Our next stop took us to Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey PA! I couldn't believe how much candy they make/sell here. As soon as we parked we could smell chocolate! They had a fun little car ride that takes you around a "pretend"factory. It reminded me of a ride at Disneyland. Kylee did really well and loved watching all the chocolate being made. She especially loved the singing cows!!! She kept saying, "moooo.."

Ok, I know I look gross but I wanted a picture of this huge chocolate bar!!Kylee just chillin' in her stroller. She loved wearing her lady bug sun glasses that Grandma Murdock bought her. It was so cute. Later that week we took Jeremy's family to downtown Philly. We showed them Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and some other sites. Here we are with a dressed up tour guide. We even saw Benjamin Franklin's grave site. The whole fam with our shades ;)

Kylee and Daddy. I love this pic!

Kylee with Grandma. Kylee loved it when Grandma would read her books!

This is what Kylee did most of the time. I think we exhausted her with all the traveling and driving! Its great, she SCREAMS when she is in her car seat, but when we get to our destination and it's time to see things, she falls asleep :)

We took this pic for Grandpa Murdock. She's starting young! Don't worry, the lid is on :)

Kylee really bonded with her Aunt Lacey. She loved playing with her, especially this peek-a-boo game on the floor. It was so cute!

This picture is from our shopping trip to Peddler's Village. Silly me forgot the stroller, but luckily Kylee wanted to walk the whole time!!! She had so much fun with Aunt Lacey and Grandma.

In this last picture Kylee is wearing her new shoes Grandma and Grandpa bought for her. When Kylee was being fitted in the store she was screaming!!!! Poor thing does NOT like strangers near her. But she loves her new shoes and looks so grown up!!!
Thank you sooooooooo much to Grandma and Grandpa Murdock and Aunt Lacey for coming the LONG way to visit us! We had so much fun and appreciate everything you did for us. Can't wait to see you again soon!!!! We love you!

Princess photo shoot

I tried to take some one year pictures of Kylee in this cute tutu (thanks Nikki), but she wasn't really cooperating. Here are just a few good shots I got. I think next time we will go outside. I know she would like that better.

Look who's one!!!

We celebrated Kylee's actually birthday with some cup cakes and ice cream with a few of her friends from church. Kylee usually goes to bed right around the time the party actually started, but she was a trooper.

I think Kylee enjoyed her cake!! This was her first taste of sugar!

Here are some of Kylee's friends. The three girls in front (Kelsey, Kylee and Maylee) love to play together! Kelsey and Kylee are only a month apart.
Kylee had a really fun time eating cake and opening presents, even though I had to open most of them. Maybe next year she will be interested in ripping open presents. Thanks to all of our friends that could make it! Kylee had a lot of fun!!!

DC/Baltimore, MD

A few weekends ago Jeremy and I were able to go to the DC temple together. This is a rare experience because it is 3 1/2 hours away. The young women were kind enough to watch the kids at the visitor center so the parents could do sessions together. They are awesome!!! The DC temple was beautiful and much bigger than I had expected.

After the temple we stopped by the Inner harbor in Baltimore, MD. It is a cute bay that has tons of shops and things to do and see. We got to eat at Chipolte!! It had been way too long.
Jeremy was excited to see the Oriole Park and Camden Yards.

Mother's Day!

We took a trip into Hoboken, NJ last weekend and had a blast in the quaint city across the Hudson River from Manhattan. It is full of little shops and restaurants and the weather could not have been any better, sunny and 85 degrees! We took in Washington Street, Frank Sinatra Park and the Hudson waterfront. We bought tickets and waited for our subway to take us into Lower Manhattan's financial center but Kylee threw a pretty horrendous fit and we knew going into NYC would make the day even longer for her so we decided to cut it and come back another day. All in all it was a great getaway for the day.

Carlo's Bakery-site of TLC's "Cake Boss" Carlo's cakes
The happy Fam inside Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken NJ. Kylee is in a one-sy because she created a tremendous disaster on the way into Hoboken that ruined her outfit! We waited for 40 mins to get served here the line was so long, but we got a sampling of italian sweets to try out and loved everyone of them!

This was part of our breakfast at La Isla and this is called "Chef Omar's Stuffed French Toast"--Pure deliciousness! It was featured on the Food Network with Bobby Flay....It was stuffed with strawberry's and guava cream cheese, dipped in cinnamon batter and coated with corn flakes and toasted almonds!!!MMM! One of Jeremy's friends at work lives in Hoboken and recommended La Isla, a tiny Cuban restaurant on Washington St in Hoboken (the main area). It was a great local place with great food, we will be back sometime!

The Empire State Building across the Hudson River

To Jeremy this was the nicest view at a little league park...lower manhattan across the river!

This was Kylee's favorite part of our trip....the long nap she took in her stroller!
I really had a great Mother's day weekend. I absolutely love being a mother. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with such a sweet daughter. I learn so much from her. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who loves to surprise me and do fun things! He is such a hard worker and a great Dad to Kylee. I get to sleep in every weekend while he gets up with her, not just on Mother's day. We had my fav bbq ribs and corn on the cobb....delish! And to top it all off he made me a homemade card with cut out pictures and phrases of things that I like and thinks that describe me. It was so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you so much for a wonderful Mother's day babe! I love you!!!
