On Memorial day weekend we took the kids to LA to checkout the LA Fabric/Garment/Jewelry district, then to the Los Angeles Temple. It was fun to walk around the beautiful temple grounds and also a great teaching opportunity for the kids. They loved walking up and down the steps and we even saw a bride and groom taking pictures! Kylee said she was beautiful and that she looked like a princess.
The new visitor center is awesome and has a kids zone. The kids played on these touch screens and colored pictures of the temple and Jesus. After the temple we drove down LA's Miracle Mile on Wilshire Blvd and went to The Counter for lunch (mmmm chicken + corn roasted salsa sandwich that Jeremy gets all the time was delish!) and got Diddy Reise ice cream sandwiches for dessert on our way out of LA!
We also took the kids to the cemetery and showed them all the flags they put out for the people who served in the military. We were also able to visit quite a few of my family members that are buried there; Grandma Poole, Uncle Rick and great Grandma and Grandpa Poole.
Then we came home and had some pool fun! These THREE have so much fun splashing around!

Road Trip!!!
May 18th - We packed up the kids in the car and drove to one of our favorite places.... Arizona! This is becoming a favorite place because we have had so much family and friends move there. Every time we go there are so many people to see and things to do. Jeremy took us on a tour of Old Town Scottsdale. He is familiar with the area because he travels there for work a lot. We ate at a really nice sandwich shop and then got a scoop of icecream at the Sugar Bowl. It was a little hot but the kids loved cooling off at the outdoor mall water park. It was so fun to let the kids run around and play, and Jeremy and I took turns looking at all the shops.
We were also able to see the Gilbert Temple being built! Kylee said the temple was beautiful! This is right down the street from Aunt Lacey's house.
We also got to see some Tortoises at Tasia's Dads house. They seemed even bigger than the last time we saw them. Kylee was a lot less nervous this time around being a whole year older. She was even brave enough to feed it a banana, with Uncle Shane's help.
Austin wants to try everything his sister does. I think he may be second guessing his decision.
We were able to visit some of our close friends the Dalton's that we lived by in Pennsylvania! We both moved back west at about the same time. The kids were all so grown up and had so much fun playing with each other.
We ended up driving home to CA on Kylee's actually birthday, May 21st, so we decided to have a birthday breakfast and let her open a few more presents. She got a new Rapunzel beach towel.
On our way out of town we also got to visit my good friend JoEllen. She has the cutest 3 boys and just had her first girl! Reese so so dang cute and I just wanted to hold her the whole time, such a happy baby.
Needless to say Austin was exhausted and slept most of the drive home :) Kylee was pretending to be asleep for a picture. We had so much fun in Arizona and can't wait to go back soon!

Austin with Uncle Shane, Aunt Tasia and Diesel.
Shane and Tasia gave Kylee a pink purse for her birthday filled with Princess lipstick, necklaces, a Princess cell phone and candy! My little girl is growing up. She would put the purse strap over her shoulder and say, "Mom, can we go shopping?" She was in heaven.
Austin was entertained at Uncle Shane's graduation by feeding Daddy gold fish.
Shane and Tasia! Tasia just graduated from nursing school and Shane from Business school. How exciting!!! Congrats you guys!

Happy 3rd birthday Kylee!!!
We celebrated Kylee's 3rd birthday by having a princess themed birthday party. She was so excited for her friends to come over and worried at the same time thinking they didn't get the invitations and wouldn't come. Luckily everyone came and she had an amazing time! We ordered her cake from Costco and it was delicious!!!! And it saved me time from frosting 50 + cupcakes :)
Instead I frosted sugar cookies....

Happy 3rd birthday to our sweet baby Kylee!!! We love you so much. You love to sleep in just like your mama but brother always wakes you up. You are so sweet to Austin and love him so much. You always give him kisses and hugs and let him sit on your lap. You read to him at night and sing him songs once I've shut the door. You guys kind of have your own language and are always giggling and laughing at each other. You are so much fun to be around and always have a smile on your face. When you get excited you scream and say "woo who!" You love going to the library and reading books. You have learned how to do summer saults, and walk on the balance beam. You love to sing and preform about every princess and primary song you know. You love eating strawberries, cheese and chocolate milk. You always tell your dad and I that we are your "darling dear." We love you so much and look forward to this next year!
